Its thursday and im so excited for it to nearly be the weekend. It has been a long week and im ready for a nice relaxing break and hopefully having some warmer weather.

Books that are worth reading...

Currently reading: The Hunger Games

Having an injury the past 6 weeks has helped me to get through the long days and being stuck at home for the majority of it. I am very grateful of my friends and their care packages full of books and dvds. It means i have caught up on many books i have purchased over the years and have never got round to either starting or finishing.

I also found myself becoming slightly addicted to the website Good Reads. It is a great site to share your reviews of books and also to find new ones to read.

We can find ourselves lost in a different world, experience amazing characters and just find pure enjoyment all from a book. I find myself re-reading books i've previously read and i always find i get a new meaning or understanding i missed previously.

Is there any books you recommend i should read?

fashionable blue and white stripes

I think like most other fashionistas stripes play a vital role in our wardrobes. A class blue and white striped top is a crucial and statement piece which is just oh so versatile. I currently have 3 of these tops and i wear them basically every week. My fave look is this one above, it goes perfectly with dark jeans or pants and black ballet flats. 

Will stripes ever die? 

Thinking of spending the day exploring the city. Gorgeous autumn days dont come along very often especially when i have the time. Looks like possibly the beach or exploring the city and botanic gardens.

Least its a long weekend.

Life through Instagram

For the longest time i've been obsessed with Instagram. I am constantly looking for magic moments to capture and hopefully share with everyone.

Since the start of May i have found my mind wandering endlessly with continuing time off work and many hours to fill my day. Which of course means more time to spent with this fantastic application. 

My family and i are heading down to Wanaka in a couple of weeks for my uncle's wedding and i cannot wait to spend my days with my family in such a gorgeous setting. Even hoping for a sprinkle of snow to add to the magic. My fave place down there for a good lunchtime coffee and meal is Kai Whaka Pai - which translated from maori just means FOOD! 

I cannot wait to be back.

I Heart New York

For years i have been dreaming of New York, the city that never sleeps. It always seems to find a way into my life, through tv shows, movies and even with a few of my high school buddies living there. Seems i cannot escape my love of this city. There are so many wonderful places that i couldnt obviously include them in this post. I can only imagine the endless hours i hope to spend one day exploring and enjoying all the sights and sounds. The beauty and peacefulness of Central Park, enjoying a cupcake or two at Magnolia Bakery, the MET museum, Barney's, Macy's and Bergdorf's in true Blair Waldorf style and enjoying a coffee or two while watching the rest of the world pass by. 

Does anyone have any fave places from their New York journey's. 

Week 6 of my recovery from my ankle injury and hopefully get my rehab instructions and schedule this week.

dreaming of chanel

For the past few years i have been getting obsessed and drooling over the perfection of the House of Chanel. Since then i have read a number of books and autobiography's on the amazing and inspirational Coco Chanel. Its amazing how one can be instantly transported back to a previous time and to gaze through one's eyes. Today the visionary Karl Lagerfield has continued the work and the Chanel name is now a true icon of the fashion world. Lets just say if i ever won Lotto the first thing i would purchase would be a Chanel bag. Perfection!

Rarotonga daydreams

Good morning all :)

Since i broke my ankle ive been feeling pretty down about things. Not being able to hang out with my friends outside of my house,  missing out on a couple of parties, missing out on netball for the rest of the season and it hadn't even started and of course having to cancel my Rarotonga holiday. I had been focusing on my holiday for so long and now that i cant go on it i feel quite a few things. So as a way of almost being there ive been looking at some of my pictures from my last visit in 2010 for New Years Eve. Now all i have to do is save up for my next visit maybe end of this year. Still trying to be positive.
