Emmy's Fashion 2012
It seems that awards season just ended but today was the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy awards and of course all the attention was directed at the red carpet for all the glitz and glamour.
2 of my fave looks from the arrivals were Ginnfer Goodwin and Julianne Hough who both looked drop dead gorgeous.
Firstly Julianne wore a strapless Georges Hobeika dress from his 2012 couture collection. This style fitted her curves perfectly and i adore the turquoise colour.
One big disapointment i felt was Claire Danes who normally hits a homerun when it comes to award season, and with a budding baby bump did not pick a style or colour that i think complimented her at all. Sadly it was a big miss in mustard.
Who did you love?

Shoes glorious shoes
Good morning all, i have always had an obsession with shoes. They can make or break a an outfit.
The number one problem i have with shoes is that i am 5ft 9 and unfortunately i can wear sky high stiletto's because lets face it im tall enough anyway and these days shoes seem to be getting higher and higher.
That doesn't mean i cant dream.
Cant believe its Thursday already and i am looking forward to having a quiet weekend then hitting a 6 day work week hard. Lets face it being out of home means that i need every cent i can get.
But thats all part of life and im loving having my own space.

Obsessed with Pinterest
I know that Pinterest is not exactly a new development. I think ive had my collection of boards for well over 6 months and my gosh i am OBSESSED.
I have always enjoyed keeping all my inspirations in one place, even have a few scrapbooks filled with fashion, food and lifestyle inspirations that i have found from various magazines.
I often find myself briefly going on here to look at what is new and suddenly a few hours have past. Always a sign of an addiction. There is always someone or something worth spotting. And i have even made a couple of the wonderful recipes that i have discovered as a result.
Do you have anyone you think is worth following?
Make sure u all check me out HERE

Travel Inspiration
Have finally had my work leave approved for our girlie weekend to Sydney in August and i cannot wait, will be over 2 years since i was last there and spending my teenage years there i do miss all the little things that make it such a wonderful place.
Am very excited i can finally take my girlfriends there and show them all my fave spots and attractions. Basically get to be a tourist all over again.
I have selected a few places that are at the top of my list
1. Sydney Opera House/Harbour Bridge/Circular Quay
The classic Sydney icon's all in one place is just a must see. So many characters and fantastic architecture to gaze upon. My family and i did the Sydney Bridge Climb a few years ago and it is basically the best way to take in the stunning views of the city.
2. Ferry over to Manly
Manly has to be one of my fave beaches in Sydney, although being an ex local it can still be quite to crowded and touristy for my liking. However it has a great selection of shops and cafes that give it a laidback vibe perfect for hot summer evenings.

3. Pitt Street Mall and QVB
The QVB is one of the most amazing looking buildings right in the centre of the city next to Town Hall station and it should be on anyways must do lists when travelling to Sydney.
I have spent so many minutes and hours day dreaming about where i will go and who i will see when i get back. Feel a bit nostalgic and still wish we called Australia home. Was always so wonderful to be able to escape during my university holidays, chill and re load the batteries.
Although who am i to complain New Zealand will always be my home and it is such a stunning place to live.
Hope you all enjoy your week.

fashionable blue and white stripes
I think like most other fashionistas stripes play a vital role in our wardrobes. A class blue and white striped top is a crucial and statement piece which is just oh so versatile. I currently have 3 of these tops and i wear them basically every week. My fave look is this one above, it goes perfectly with dark jeans or pants and black ballet flats.
Will stripes ever die?
Thinking of spending the day exploring the city. Gorgeous autumn days dont come along very often especially when i have the time. Looks like possibly the beach or exploring the city and botanic gardens.
Least its a long weekend.

dreaming of chanel
For the past few years i have been getting obsessed and drooling over the perfection of the House of Chanel. Since then i have read a number of books and autobiography's on the amazing and inspirational Coco Chanel. Its amazing how one can be instantly transported back to a previous time and to gaze through one's eyes. Today the visionary Karl Lagerfield has continued the work and the Chanel name is now a true icon of the fashion world. Lets just say if i ever won Lotto the first thing i would purchase would be a Chanel bag. Perfection!
Does anyone have any great blogs dedicated to Chanel?

inspiration for a sunday morning
Good morning fellow bloggers.
This is the start of my adventure in the blogsphere and being a sunday morning i have spent the past few hours finding inspiration and distracting myself. Over a week ago i broke my ankle at Netball training and i have as a result been in a cast and had to cancel my holiday which was due to start next week in Rarotonga. So as a result ive been trying to find the positive's and spending more time updating my social network which seems to be rapidly growing. So later today im going to watch "The September Issue" and then read some old Vogue magazines which is always exciting to see how fashion and trends have changed.
Enjoy your weekend.
